Advent Season 2025

Advent Season 2025
What is Advent?
The word Advent comes from the Latin adventus, meaning “coming.” It marks the four Sundays leading up to Christmas, traditionally highlighting hope, peace, love, and joy. Advent isn’t commanded in Scripture, but early Christians practiced it to center their lives on Jesus—remembering His first coming and looking ahead to His return. Throughout the Bible, we hear this ache for God to act. We see God’s people longing for the promised King who would restore them (Luke 2:25). We watch men and women cling to hope in uncertainty (Isaiah 9:6–7; 11:1–5; Luke 1:26–2:20). And as the New Testament points to the second Advent—Jesus returning to renew all things—we join believers across time in that same anticipation (Revelation 21:1–5; Romans 8).
Our elder team, staff, and ministry leaders have been praying and preparing for this year’s Advent season and stepping into the new year. We’re filled with excitement about the opportunity to reach our community and reflect the hope we have in Jesus. With that in mind, we’re sharing the November-December schedule with you. Let’s commit to praying together, asking the Lord to fill this season with Hope, Peace, Love, and Joy as we follow Him.
