In this challenging and often painful period in our community, knowing where to turn for help can be difficult. This page is intended to make that search easier. At times, it will also include individual needs that you may be able to assist with.
Community Care Fund
We have set up a new Community Care fund to help with needs that arise in our community. To donate via Church Center (online or app), select "Community Care" in the drop-down menu. On Venmo, simply add "Community Care" as a note in your donation.
We offer counseling for areas of need including marriage, family, addiction, and different patterns of abuse. The individuals who provide this service have various areas of training and licensing.
Beginning in September, we will be helping with the distribution of food boxes! If you (or someone you know) is in need, or you would like to help, please email pastor James at .
Additionally, God's Storehouse (a service of Grace Church, San Luis Obispo) is an amazing resource for pick-up or delivery. If you have a need for groceries delivered to your home, please click on the button below to submit a need.
Also, some at Calvary SLO are volunteering time to shop/deliver groceries to those on quarantine at home. If you would like to connect with these please contact Pastor Gunther Kriwinski at . Our SLO County Food Bank that provides food at different outlets is also looking for volunteers to distribute food and are asking for monetary donations to continue meeting the food demand for those in need. To contact them click https://www.slofoodbank.org/
Many business owners are also facing extreme financial needs. There are a few agencies now offering low or no-interest loans. For more information please call our local Assemblyman Jordon Cunningham at (805) 549-3381. Also for self-employed or independent contractors who need financial assistance go to labor.ca.gov to sign up for the PUA program.
