For the past two years, The Rain has gone up to San Francisco to speak and live out the Gospel. This year, Lord willing, we are heading up there again!
Dates
We are going to be leaving from the church on Friday, December 10th (in the afternoon) and returning on Tuesday, December 14th (in the evening). The Christmas season is an especially powerful time to bring God’s message and love as it is often colder, wetter, and lonelier for many.
Activities
The plans are still being ironed out but the list of possible activities includes: (1) Preparing dinner for and serving the homeless in the city; (2) Distributing food and clothing to the homeless in the parks; (3) Prayer walks outside the city's brothels; (4) Preparing dinner for and playing with inner city kids; (5) Painting local public schools; (6) Helping local churches and ministries with any necessary projects; (7) Sharing the gospel with anyone we meet; (8) And more!
Cost
The registration fee is $200.00. This covers: (1) Gas; (2) Parking; (3) Lodging; (4) A few meals; (5) Ministry Materials.
You can pay online by clicking on "Register Here" below or by bringing a check made out to Calvary SLO (with “SF Mission” in the memo line) into our office. Payment is due by Friday, December 3rd.
Also, there will be the opportunity to raise support, so please don't let the financial aspect keep you from considering coming with us.
