2010 High School Lake Trip

Lake Trip 2010

Theme: Biblical Community. We will be walking through several different text through the book of Acts looking at how the first Christians did life together and how their Christianity played into their every day lives.  The theme of biblical community will be continued through out the summer months.

Who: This trip is for all High Schoolers and those who are moving up into High School. We will need a minimum of 15 students to RSVP in order to make this trip happen.

When: July 12th - 16th. 4 Monday to Friday, 4 nights and 5 days.

Where: Mammoth Pool Lake, Sierra National Forrest. This lake is located about 45 miles North East of Fresno, CA

-Directions: From Fresno, California, take Highway 41 north, turn northeast on Forest Road 200 and pass through North Fork. Take the Minarets Road east, follow it 37 miles, turn right on Mammoth Pool Road and follow it 4 miles to the Mammoth Pool Campground.

-Safety: The lake is patrolled by the local forest service rangers. The local gas station and general store offers a pay phone for those who don’t have cell reception. Leader will come to lead the students and over see all activiites through the days we are at the lake.

Activities: Bible Study in Acts, Small groups, Wakeboarding, Tubing, Fishing, Hiking, Paddle Boarding, Team Competition through the week, Game Show

How Much: 250/ Student, covers the following:

            -Food for 5 days

            -Boat gas

            -Camping fees

            -Driving fees

            -Camping and activity supplies

 

Leaders: We will have a 2/1 student to leader ratio and we are asking for a few parents to join us as well.

RSVP: Please RSPV by June 30th. We will be unable to go unless we have a confirmed 15 students. Deposit will be refuneded if the trip is canceled.
