Children's Ministry Health & Safety Policy*

*Effective January 2019

  1. There will always be a roaming CM Supervisor while Children’s Ministry (CM) is in session. This provides security and accountability.

  3. “Always two policy”. No teacher will be alone with the children.

Children in K-5th grade will not sit on teachers’ laps. Normal hugs and holding a child’s hand are acceptable. When carrying toddlers and infants, conduct and affection will be above reproach.
  5. Only female CM volunteers are permitted to escort children to the bathroom and must wait outside the stall. Only female CM volunteers are permitted to change toddler and infant diapers.
  6. A potty training toddler will be taken by their parents to use the restroom. At drop off, please make sure to have a clear plan for your child.
  7. No running in the hallways.
  8. When children are outside for recess all doors must be closed.
  9. The front entrance doors must be closed once the service has started, and the rear door to the playground must be closed at all times.
