KingdomBuilders Core Team

KingdomBuilders (KB) Core Team consists of Deacons and Coordinators. Below are the commitments for being a part of the Core.

KB Deacons and Coordinators must:

  1. Love Jesus
  2. Be interested in ministering to men, more specifically using your gifts, talents, and time to: "Call AND equip men to build God's Kingdom" which is our mission statement (Eventually we will be asking if you feel God is calling you to minister with us.)
  3. Call CalvarySLO home (call it what you will be a member, covenant with CalvarySLO, going steady with CSLO, etc)
  4. Be willing to do either of the following (or both for that matter):
    a. Lead a regular weekly bible study
    b. Coordinate 2 events per year that give opportunities for men to fellowship together in Christ (these can be as simple as a hike or complex as a campout)
  5. Do your very best to make the meetings  (we plan them at least 3 weeks out so if you are free at that point please commit to meeting with us)

KB Deacons (extra commitment from the Deacons and Deacon Candidates)

There are some distinctions between a Deacon and a coordinator:

  1. You are overseeing and administrating an area of KB and it is fruitful (like WtS, Community Groups, FoM, or a new one if you have a vision for one)
  2. Leaders have followers (Men or a man is actually following you)
  3. Meet the qualifications of Deacon outlined in the Bible (listed further down this page)

There you have it. If any of this is something you feel you can commit to AND you are willing to go through a 3-6 month candidacy, where you will meet with one of the KB Deacons (or Overseer) please contact Patrick at .

We look forward to serving alongside you!
