The Big Buddies Mentoring Program exists in order to help fill a need that exists at the core of our community: children in single-parent homes who need an additional positive adult role-model in their life. This is a cooperative effort with other non-profit community groups, including Grace Church of SLO and Family Care Network, Inc. The ministry is specifically focused on mentoring at-risk youth ages 6-17. These children primarily come from Hawthorne Elementary School and from within the various churches, however other families will be considered on a case by case basis according to our ability to accommodate them.
